FUSA: Improving Quality of Life Through Health Promotion, Prevention, and Comprehensive Healthcare from a Gender and Human Rights Perspective

FUSA (in Spanish) is an organization in Argentina with extensive experience in interdisciplinary work with people with and without disabilities of all ages and gender identities in the field of health. Their main objective is to improve people’s quality of life through health promotion, prevention, and comprehensive healthcare from gender, disability, and human rights perspectives. To fulfill this objective, FUSA focuses on three main areas of action: Promotion of comprehensive and quality health services, impact on national and international regulatory frameworks, and the empowerment of users and key stakeholders. FUSA provides resources for the community (in Spanish) and shares campaigns that support or improve the quality of life of people with and without disabilities. Staff provide services throughout Argentina (in Spanish), including health clinics for children and teens, nutrition services, general and family medicine, psychology, gynecology, and integral services to meet the specific needs of transgender and nonbinary people with and without disabilities. Finally, FUSA provides training (in Spanish) for health professionals, youth, and teachers.
