Participate: Comment on the National Plan for Action on healthcare disparities

The Office of Minority Health of the US Department of Health and Human Services has initiated a National Plan for Action, a comprehensive effort to eliminate health disparities for all people.

The mission of the NPA is to mobilize and connect individuals and organizations across the county to create a Nation free of health disparities with quality health outcomes for all people. The NPA promotes both action and collaboration to close the gaps that exist in the healthcare system today.

How can you participate?

It’s important that everyone has a voice in health policy, especially th0se groups who are “underserved”. This includes communities of color as well as people with disabilities (and those who live in both communities). OMH has opened the NPA for comment. Just visit http://minorityhealth.hhs.gov/npa/templates/browse.aspx?lvl=1&lvlID=31 , read through the plan, and leave your comments.
