The Minority Student Caucus: 32nd Annual Minority Health Conference is titled “The Promise of Health Equity:Advancing the Discussion to Eliminate Disparities in the 21st Century” and will be held on Friday, February 25th, 2011 in Chapel Hill, NC. The keynote speaker for the conference is Bonnie M. Duran, DrPH, an Associate Professor at the University of Washington School of Public Health.
There are three sessions for the day, tracks include several topics: LGBT Health, Rural Health, Hispanic Health, Native American Health, Occupational Health (health in relation to our work), Food Deserts (availability of nutritious food in the inner cities), and an interactive session on HIV policy on a national, state and local context. There are also sessions for viewing the Conference Exhibits and Posters.
