NCPAD: Helping Individuals with Disabilities Get Moving!

Here at NARIC, information specialists often receive related to exercise and disability.  NARIC information specialists refer these patrons to The National Center on Physical Activity and Disability (NCPAD) for resources and information specifically geared toward their abilities.  The NCPAD website offers a virtual reference chat program that patrons can speak to an information specialist, in real time, about their specific conditions, concerns, and questions regarding exercise related to their unique situation.  Recently, a NARIC information specialist chatted with a NCPAD representative regarding exercise and health-related information related to fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis.  The NCPAD representative was knowledgeable and provided resources with genuine empathy and understanding.  We highly recommend NCPAD to any individual looking for more information on exercise and disability!
