Independent Living Research Utilization Program (ILRU) is conducting a survey to assess the assistive technology needs of people with disabilities. The survey is designed to determine the current availability of assistive technology and the potential for new, innovative devices. By identifying the assistive technology needs of people with disabilities, ILRU will be better able to work with policymakers and funders to address assistive technology needs. The survey can be accessed here.
ILRU is a national center for information, training, research, and technical assistance in independent living. Its goal is to expand the body of knowledge in independent living and to improve utilization of results of research programs and demonstration projects in this field. It is a program of TIRR (The Institute for Rehabilitation and Research), a nationally recognized medical rehabilitation facility for persons with disabilities.
