Two webinars caught our attention:

2/6, 3-4p EST. The National Disability Navigator Resource Collaborative hosts a webinar on Enrolling People with Disabilities in the Health Insurance Marketplace. The webinar will introduce the NDNRC, and highlight resources available throughout the website. Funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the NDNRC provides expertise and assistance to navigators and enrollment specialists on disability information related to enrolling in the correct healthcare plan under the Affordable Care Act. 3pm EST. 2/11, 3-4p. EST The National I&R Support Center, the US Citizenship and Immigration Service (Homeland Security), and the Office of Refugee Resettlement (Health and Human Services) will present Immigration and Refugee Resources for Older Adults and People with Disabilities, a very informative webinar on resources for assisting older/disabled immigrants. In addition to these, the Medicare-Medicaid Coordination Office and the Lewin Group offerA a webinar series, Training in Disability Competent Care and Supports, 2p EST each Tuesday in February beginning 2/4. Topics include Dignity of Risk, Strategies to Stimulate and Support Patient Engagement, Mobility and Seating Assessments and Equipment Procurement, and Using and Maintaining Mobility Equipment. Registration is free but required for each or all of the series.
