Dr. Daniel Kantor and Jennifer Pizzuto of MS World interviewed several NIDILRR-funded researchers at the annual meeting of the International Multiple Sclerosis Cognition Society (IMSCOGS) in June. The interviews are now available on MS World’s YouTube Channel:
- John DeLuca, PhD, co-director of the Northern New Jersey Traumatic Brain Injury Model System Center (NNJTBIS), discussed the impact of cognitive deficits on the everyday function of people with MS at home, in the community, and in the workplace, and the importance of cognitive research and rehabilitation.
- Nancy Chiaravalloti, PhD, co-director and principal investigator of the NNJTBIS, provided an update on effective cognitive interventions for treating deficits in learning and memory in individuals with MS.
- Jeannie Lengenfelder, PhD, from the NNJTBIS discussed research in deficits in emotional processing in individuals with MS.
- Yael Goverover, PhD, a NIDILRR Switzer Fellow, discussed her research in Actual Reality, which is aimed at improving performance in activities in daily living for people with MS.
