For Mental Health Awareness Month, we would like to introduce you to Confederación Salud Mental España, a non-profit organization in Spain made up of 19 autonomous federations and provincial associations, whose mission is to improve the quality of life of people in Spain who are living with mental health issues and their families and defend their rights under Spanish and international laws. They also look to ensure the right of access to quality and individualized health care for all people with mental health disorders in the community, promote equal opportunities for this group, and create awareness about mental health in the community while eradicating stigma. Services include providing information, advice, resources, and training about mental health to people with mental health disorders, their families, professionals, and society in general through their information center, which also provides a document search service. They offer legal information and advice in all matters affecting people with mental health disorders. Confederación Salud Mental España publishes the journal Encuentro, along with online weekly bulletins.
