Are you a woman with a spinal cord injury (SCI)? Kuen Tang is developing a multimedia resource tailored to meet the interests and needs of women with SCI. She is surveying women with SCI to determine what topics and resources they consider most important:
Hello, my name is Kuen Tang. I am female and have been a C6/7 quadriplegic since 2001. I had many questions regarding my disability and possible future capabilities when I was first injured, but finding answers sometimes proved to be more difficult and frustrating than dealing with my physical disability. Based on my research, the majority of the resources available for women with SCI are in book form, scattered, incomplete, and sometimes difficult to find. I was unable to find any comprehensive resources in an easily accessible and user friendly format.
With funding support from The Rick Hansen Foundation and The Canadian Paraplegic Association, I am in the process of creating a comprehensive multimedia resource package for women with Spinal Cord Injuries. I hope to have all resources created on one or two DVDs including: easy accessible videos, printable materials and updates every 2 – 3 years. With some help from some of my female clients with SCI, I have created a list of topics that I would like to
include in this resource package. Now you can help too! Please read through this questionnaire and give your input.
All information provided by you will be kept confidential. If you have any questions, concerns, or if you would like to be a resource yourself, please contact me at 780‐424‐6312 ext 2235 or e‐mail: kuen.tang@cpa‐ab.org .
