The 36th anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act is coming up this Saturday! Even though it’s been the law in the US for more than three and a half decades, there may be some issues and situations where you might not know that the ADA applies. Every day, the staff at the ADA National Network regional centers answers questions from people with disabilities, caregivers, business owners, government agencies, and others who want to know about their rights and responsibilities.
Here are just a few resources describing individuals and entities with rights and responsibilities under the ADA that you may not have previously considered to be covered parties:
- People who have rights under the ADA
- Entities who have responsibilities under the ADA
If you have questions about your rights or responsibilities under the ADA, even if you’re not sure whether the law applies, the ADA National Network regional centers can help! Call the center nearest you at 800/949-4ADA (4232) or look them up online.
